Efforts are being made to raise the productivity of housing services for older people so that municipalities will be able to meet the growing demand for services in the future. Is the use of private service providers the answer to this challenge? What happens to the quality of care and the wellbeing of staff? Do the current methods of competitive tendering for services function effectively? The book examines the differences in costs, quality, and staff wellbeing in housing services for older people between private and municipal providers.
