The research on public economy and finances explores policy measures through the lens of income distribution. In our analysis, we consider both efficiency and fairness to ensure that policy measures are effective while also promoting equitable outcomes. Efficiency refers to considering the behavioral responses of individuals when implementing reforms. Fairness, on the other hand, involves recognizing that one euro holds greater value for low-income individuals than for those with higher incomes.

Our public economy and finances research covers the following themes

  • social insurance
  • taxation
  • social security system
  • pension system
  • income distribution
