Next year pensioners’ purchasing power will grow most strongly, the unemployed’s most weakly
The example household calculations examine seven households. The calculations describe the effects on families’ purchasing power of the development of earned income, income transfers, and taxes and tax-like payments. Family-specific consumption baskets based on Statistics Finland data are calculated for the households, enabling assessment of family-specific rates of inflation and real income development. Next year, the purchasing power of a pensioner couple will grow the most and that of the unemployed the least. Example household calculations have been produced at the Labour Institute for Economic Research since 2009. (AI translation)
