Finland’s wage level in 2015 was above the European average. Finland’s relative position has not changed significantly compared to the early 2010s. However, taking price levels into account weakens Finland’s position in wage comparisons.

Wage differentials in Finland were among the smallest in the comparison group and remained relatively stable throughout the 2007–2015 period. In EU countries, wage differentials evolved in different directions. Most of the overall variation in wages was explained by within-group wage differences rather than differences between groups.
