Did the Polytechnic Reform Meet the Needs of the Labor Market?
Abstract
Graduates of polytechnic degrees have performed well in the labor market. Particularly, recent graduates in business administration have significantly better employment rates compared to those who graduated from the same schools with a degree in business studies. In the trade sector, the reform also increased the annual incomes of graduates. In the social and health sector, as well as in the fields of engineering and transportation, the impact of the reform was small. In the industry, the majority of polytechnic graduates have taken on roles as experts.
