Our mission
Labore, The Labour Institute for Economic Research LABORE (previously Palkansaajien tutkimuslaitos) is an independent and non-profit research organisation founded in 1971. We conduct independent and applied economic research that meets international quality criteria for science. The focus of our research is on labor economics, public economics and macroeconomics. Additionally, we produce economic forecasts and reports on industrial organization, and publish podcasts and “Talous & Yhteiskunta” magazine.
Our strengths include the high scientific expertise of researchers and close cooperation with Finnish and foreign universities and research institutes. Our researchers play an important expert role in various contexts and they actively participate in societal debate.
