Abstract

The study provides a descriptive analysis of individuals who applied to, were admitted to, and graduated from the Jyväskylä Educational Consortium Gradia. The data consist of individual-level register data from Statistics Finland covering the years 2000–2019.

According to the results, the average income of Gradia students during their studies is clearly below the national level. However, over time, the share of graduates has been higher than the national average. The employment rates and earnings of Gradia graduates are close to the national average.

When examining the placement of students in firms in the Central Finland region, the results show that Gradia graduates account for a significant share of the regional labour force in local companies. (AI translation)
